Why pray? |

Christian prayer, based on trinity faith (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) enables us to feel the closeness of God. The Spirit of God lives inside us and we need only to tap that resource to understand that we are not alone; God is with us. Just as communication is needed in any healthy relationship, we need to talk with God regularly. My favorite signage along an interstate route reads: "We need to talk. Signed: God". It is difficult to let go of ill feelings; to practice forgiveness; to remain faithful; to have patience; to survive in a threatening world. |
